Regina checked her image in the reflection on the back window of the rented SUV. She looked down at her chest with ample cleavage on display. “God, Mom! This is supposed to be a family friendly event.” ![]() Henry, dressed as a knight, turned to face her and found himself face-to-face with her…his face turned bright red and he threw a hand up in front of his eyes to block his view. She put on her royal face, pocketed the car keys in a small bag attached to her wrist, and tapped (Sir) Henry on the shoulder. It was bad enough she’d already worn this gown in public before, but since that had been in the Enchanted Forest, she felt safe enough to wear it again.Īnd now she was ready to face the public. Material worn by who knew how many others would probably actually give her hives. Henry had suggested she simply rent a gown, but the mere thought gave her hives. The high feathered collar tickled the back of her neck where her hair was styled in an elaborate upsweep. The tight jeweled bodice was accented beautifully by the red and black material that flowed down into flared sleeves and a full skirt. It was one of her favorite outfits if she was being honest. Next time, she would be much more judicious with her promises.īut for now, with Henry serving as a lookout and a quick use of magic, she stood in a grassy (muddy!) field that served as a parking lot, wearing full (Evil) Queen regalia. ![]() Held back assignments or even collaborated with the teacher, maybe. She couldn’t prove it, but she was sure he had cheated somehow. ![]() In her defense, he’d had a C in math at the time with only three weeks left in the semester. If he brought home all A’s on his report card, she would take him to the Renaissance Faire…in full costume. And a promise was a promise as he had so smugly reminded her. Regina felt absolutely ridiculous, but she had promised Henry.
